Leslie Meyn

Leslie started taking agility classes at Splash n’ Dash K9 Sports in September 2002 when her Keeshond, Kiwi was 5 months old in a desperate attempt to focus her energy. That was the birth of a new obsession and lifestyle. She began competing in 2004 and teaching at SNDK9 in 2006. Since then, her Keeshond posse has grown and she currently successfully competes in agility, conformation, rally obedience, and obedience. Leslie currently teaches agility, but is always trying to expand her knowledge of dog sports so has taken classes in rally obedience, obedience, freestyle, treibball, flyball, and barrel racing.

Leslie’s philosophy is that, like humans, canine athletes benefit from cross-training in multiple disciplines as it improves physical and cognitive performance as well as strengthens the human-canine personal and working relationship. She believes in positive training methods and that, whatever the endeavor, it should be fun for both the handler and the dog. Drawing from her diverse training and competition background, Leslie makes every effort to provide individualized instruction to each handler/dog team.
